Throwback Tunes: Gladys Knight & The Pips – Midnight Train to Georgia

Throwback Tunes is a special segment on BoomPopMedia where we will take a look at a classic song of some kind. Classic is defined loosely and is pretty much just whatever we feel like, but we’ll try to take a look at one of these songs on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

In our last Throwback Tunes piece, I introduced our special Down South theme, writing that:

Well, our Down South theme for Throwback Tunes will be continuing up until we leave on our trip, probably even for a while afterwards. In fact, we’re so dedicated to keeping up with this theme that we had Esteban make a custom Down South header for the Throwback Tunes segment…and what better song to use for the debut of the header than Alabama’s Song Of The South? I sure couldn’t think of anything better than this suggestion from Sir Bradrey, so here it is, Baby Birds.

Then, in typical Joshua fashion, I forgot to post any more Throwback Tunes pieces. It’s time to fix that, so let’s take a little Midnight Train To Georgia.

As usual, hat-tip to Sir Bradrey Whitebeard for the suggestion. He’s very much the one keeping this Down South theme alive.
